Blackface Incident Public Statement

The Greek Community (Interfraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, Multicultural Greek Council, Panhellenic Council) at UF has been informed of a recent offensive photograph that was taken at a recent social function. We are aware of the actions by certain members of the IFC and PC community and want to make it clear that we do not condone or support these actions in any way. At this point we are still working to collect all the facts regarding the situation but we can confirm at this time that the members in the photograph are not members of Delta Chi fraternity.

At UF we have a very diverse Greek Community and we believe this diversity makes us one of the strongest Greek Communities in the country. We are working together to hold these individuals and chapters accountable for their actions. We will also use this opportunity to better educate our members regarding these issues and would like to make it known that these actions are not in line with the values our chapters were founded on and continually based on today.
